Our Data Practices

Our application does not collect, store, or retain any personal data on our servers. All data you interact with — including API access tokens, Instagram post URLs, and fetched content such as usernames, media, and comments — exists only within your local browser session and is automatically discarded when you close the page or end your session.

Automatic Deletion

Because all data is stored exclusively in your browser's session storage, it is automatically deleted when you close the browser tab or window. No manual deletion request is necessary under normal use.

Manual Deletion

If you wish to immediately remove all locally stored data without closing your browser, you can clear your browser's session storage by opening your browser's developer tools (usually F12), navigating to the Application or Storage tab, selecting Session Storage, and clearing the entries for our site. Alternatively, you can clear your browser's cache and site data through your browser's settings.

Third-Party Data

Our app retrieves content from Meta's Instagram Graph API using the access token you provide. We do not store or cache any of this retrieved content on our servers. If you wish to manage or delete data held by Meta, you can do so through your Instagram account settings or by visiting https://www.facebook.com/help/delete_account.

To revoke our app's access to your Instagram account, visit your Meta account settings at https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=business_tools, locate the app, and remove it.

Meta Platform Compliance

In accordance with Meta's Platform Terms, we support data deletion requests. If you wish to request deletion of any data associated with your use of our app, you may contact us at av@avbyav.com. Since we do not store any user data, we will confirm that no data exists on our end and provide instructions for revoking access through Meta's settings if applicable.

Data Deletion Callback

For users who authorized our app via Facebook Login, we provide a data deletion callback endpoint as required by Meta. Upon receiving a deletion request, we confirm that no user data is stored and return a confirmation code.
